By far THE BEST drinks and food we have had. Bring your cc as it is a bit $$$. But we'll worth every penny. We sat at the bar and let them pick our drinks and food and they didn't disappoint

Small, exclusive restaurant in downtown Phoenix with some incredible Sonoran comfort food by chef René Andrade. It is tough getting a reservation here, but well worth the effort. Each dish has so much flavor that you'll want to lick the plate when you're done.

Wish I could give Bacanora more than 5 stars… it’s truly incredible. Like top 5 best restaurants we’ve had in years. The atmosphere in or outside is so fun and inviting. Our waitress Cecilia was amazing, super helpful, friendly, kind and just easy to chat with. The food is next level. They have specials that rotate so don’t sleep on those. The specials we got were the short ribs, frijoles con queso, elote, and ceviche verde. Everything was 10/10 and beyond. So fresh and flavorful, presentation was fantastic and each dish was enough to share for 2. Highly highly recommend.

Worth the wait for the reservation! Everything we had was delicious. Ceviche verde, charred cabbage, papas sucias (cooked perfectly) with carne asada, and pork ribs (juicy and flavorful). And a brûléed flan tart for dessert. Cocktails were also tasty. Service was attentive and enthusiastic. Looking forward to going back!

Everything was amazing! The food is exquisite! Great Mexican food is visible in the way they prepare the staples. The pinto bean, tortillas, quesadillas, chile/consume, and salsa that come with your dishes not only complement but elevate the entire experience! We had most of the entrees family style and were not disappointed. I would highly recommend visiting Bacanora!

Best restaurant in Phoenix. Such a unique, intimate, and tasty dining experience. You cannot go wrong with anything you order from the menu but the tomahawk was the star of the show. Looking forward to enjoying again soon!

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. We went with a group of 8 on a Friday (booked about 2 months in advance) and we had the most incredible food and attentive service. Every dish we tried was excellent, the standouts: the elote with bone marrow, the ceviche, the costilla, the chicken. Their tortillas and beans are out of this world. Great cocktails too.

I can see why reservations for this restaurant go fast - the food is delicious! We started off with chips and three salsas and I can confidently say that this is the best chip/salsa combo I've had so far, which really should have been an indicator for the food that followed. We had the 36 ounce bone-in ribeye, horchata cuatro leches, and arroz con leche all for the table and were not disappointed - they were all so good! The staff were all very friendly and the restaurant itself is small but very charming.

Imagine if a restaurant didn't open up reservations for a month until the first day of that month. That would make no sense. Fortunately this is not how Bacanora does it. They open up reservations for the following month on the first of each month. And once one understands this calculus, they will be able to enjoy the experience it is to eat at Bacanora. It's hard to resist ordering the 40 Oz ribeye. So hard in fact that Jimi could not resist. Bacanora has the revolutionary idea to provide not only tortillas but also ready made quesadillas for you to put your steak into. Not since sliced bread or pickled herring has there been such a simple but transformative idea. When Jimi returns (since he understands how to make a rezzy ergo knows calculus), he plans to explore another portion of the menu, perhaps the pollo asado. 5 stars
